I really don't know what I'm doing with this blog thing but I feel the need to try to warn people about this evil drug on the market. Its called Reglan. its used for gastrointestinal issues. My wife was diagnosed with gastroparesis in November. Her doctor suspected it since about august and put her on the reglan. Since November she has not been able to do her job and eventually had to go out on disability because the medication just raised havoc with her. Her anxiety and depression were unbearable. I couldn't leave her alone. She didn't want me to leave her side. Would start crying(sobbing) when she would wake up in the morning. Her leg shakes and her hands tremble.can't not do simple functions. just to get on her email would take forever. All she wanted to do was sleep. When she slept there was no anxiety or depression. A trip to the er and almost admitted to the psych ward prompted the er doctor to take a look at what med she was on and he pulled her of the med right away. Its been just over a week now and she is slowly getting her sanity back. its still a chore to get up each day and just do small things. today we took the Christmas tree down and put the decorations away and she was exhausted. had to take a nap. Little by little I know she will get back to herself. But it will take a while. My wife is seeing a counselor now to help with the psychiatric part for the after effects. I can't say enough bad about this drug. If you or anyone you know is prescribed with this drug DON'T take it. As time goes on I will keep updating this blog as to my wife's improvements or set backs.
